Women’s ACHA hockey fell to Indiana Tech 6-2 Friday afternoon at SpeedOne Parkview Arena in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Warriors took an early 1-0 lead just minutes into the contest, but the Lions answered with a power play goal after Indiana Tech took a slashing penalty. Loki Antonio and Madison Teague set up Kim Turcotte with 5:51 remaining in the period. The final minute of the first was filled with action. The Warriors scored at even strength with just 50-seconds left, but Lindenwood answered just before the horn sounded when Kennedy Frank stole the puck and split the pipes with just one second on the clock.

It was a 2-2 tie after the first 20-minutes, but Indiana Tech pulled away from the Lions the rest of the game. The Warriors scored the loan goal of the second on the power play just over three minutes into the period. They added three even strength scores in the third for the final outcome.

Indiana Tech outshot Lindenwood 34-23 and Lizzy Kauffman stopped 17 of the 23 pucks she faced in goal. With the loss, the Lions dropped to 1-2 on the season. They will try to bounce back for a series split Saturday afternoon. The puck drops at 3:30 p.m. at SpeedOne Parkview Arena in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
