CommBank Matildas are back on home soil!
The Matildas will be back in Australia for their upcoming two matches which will see them face off against heavyweights Sweden at Melbourne’s AAMI Park before heading north to meet Thailand at Central Coast Stadium.
Tony Gustavsson’s side strung together two vital victories last month as they came out on top 4-1 against South Africa in London before putting on a masterclass in finishing as they saw off Denmark 3-1 in Viborg.
Those two wins will bring some renewed optimism to the group who prior to those matches were struggling for goals. What awaits them in Melbourne will be an incredibly tough test as they come up against one of the strongest side’s in women’s football.

However, this may come as the perfect time to play the Swedes with interest in the Matildas and women’s football hitting fever pitch following the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Draw last weekend in Auckland.
Supporters will be keen to see their beloved CommBank Matildas in action as they look to make a statement against Sweden in their own backyard.
