BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University claimed two of the four Patriot League Field Hockey weekly honors when the League office announced them on Monday. Lehigh and Lafayette claimed one award apiece.

Senior goalkeeper Caroline Kelly was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week after making eight saves to lead the Terriers to a 2-1 victory over No. 25 American to remain undefeated in League play. Freshman forward Amalia Preece claimed her second Patriot League Rookie of the Week award of the season after scoring the game-winning goal against the Eagles.

Lehigh junior midfielder Abbie Brown captured Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors after recording her first collegiate hat trick to lead the Mountain Hawks to a 3-2 win over rival Lafayette.

Lafayette senior defender Simone Hefting received Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week. She made a defensive save and scored the game-winning goal in the Leopards’ 4-3 win over Richmond on Sunday.

American sophomore forward Federica Turina Dellamaggiore, Boston University senior forward Mikayla Crowley, Bucknell sophomore forward Isabella Pavlides, Colgate junior midfielder Ella Murphy, Lafayette senior defender Sydney Woolston, Lehigh senior goalkeeper Maddie Kahn and senior defender Sydney White all received honorable mentions for their performances last week.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Abbie Brown, Lehigh, Jr., Midfielder/Forward, Mickleton, N.J./Kingsway

*Brown recorded a career-high three goals on three shots to lead Lehigh to a 3-2 victory over Lafayette on Friday night for the Mountain Hawks’ first League win of the season.
*She scored the game-winning goal at the 54:40 mark in the fourth quarter. Brown also scored in the first and third quarters.
*Her hat trick helped Lehigh extend its win streak over the Leopards to three games, its longest in the series since 1983-85.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Simone Hefting, Lafayette, Sr., Defender, Den Bosch, Netherlands/Stedelijk Gymnasium Den Bosch
*Hefting made a defensive save and scored the game-winning goal in Lafayette’s 4-3 victory over Richmond on Sunday.
*Her defensive save came in the third quarter to help the Leopards remain tied at 2-2. She scored at the 53:29 mark in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
*The senior defender helped the Leopards limit Lehigh to just six shots, including five on goal, in a 3-2 loss. She also took a team-high five shots.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Caroline Kelly, Boston University, Sr., Goalkeeper, Malvern, Pa./Episcopal Academy

*Kelly made eight saves to lead Boston University to a 2-1 road victory over No. 25 American to remain undefeated in League play.
*The Malvern, Pa. native made four saves in each half, including one in the final three minutes of regulation.
*Kelly has a League-best .833 save percentage in Patriot League games.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Amalia Preece, Boston University, Fr., Forward, Santiago, Chile/Santiago College

*Preece scored the game-winning goal in Boston University’s 2-1 victory over No. 25 American to move to 3-0 in League play.
*The freshman forward broke the 1-1 tie in the 34th minute for her second goal of the season.
*Both Preece’s goals this season have come in League play, finding the back of the net for the first time against Lehigh.

*Dellamaggiore scored both of American’s goals in a 2-1 loss vs. Boston University and a 3-1 loss against Rider.

*Crowley assisted both Boston University goals in a 2-1 victory over No. 25 American on Saturday.

*Pavlides recorded five points on two goals and one assist to lead Bucknell to a 5-3 victory over Colgate on Saturday to improve to 3-0 in League play.

Ella Murphy, Colgate, Jr., Midfielder, Kitchener, Ontario/Appleby College

*Murphy recorded a career-high four points with one goal and two assists in a 5-3 loss against Bucknell.

Sydney Woolston, Lafayette, Sr., Defender/Midfielder, Berlin, N.J./Eastern Regional

*Woolston scored the Leopards’ second goal in a 3-2 loss vs. Lehigh on Friday evening. She scored the game’s first goal to help Lafayette to a 4-3 victory over Richmond on Sunday.

Maddie Kahn, Lehigh, Sr., Goalkeeper, Ocean City, N.J./Ocean City

Kahn made 10 saves to help the Mountain Hawks to a 3-2 victory over Lafayette. The 10 saves matched her second-highest total this season.

Sydney White, Lehigh, Sr., Defender, Crofton, Md./Annapolis Area Christian School

*White anchored Lehigh’s defense in a 3-2 victory over Lafayette. She helped limit the Leopards’ top scorers, Molly McAndrew and Felicitas Hannes, to just one shot apiece.
