BETHLEHEM, Pa. – American and Lafayette split the four Patriot League Field Hockey weekly honors when the League office announced them on Monday.

American sophomore midfielder Federica Turina Dellamaggiore was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after her two-goal performance in a comeback victory against Lehigh. Freshman Frederiek Thierry received rookie of the week honors after recording an assist and a defensive save in the Eagles’ win over the Mountain Hawks.

Lafayette senior defender Simone Hefting claimed her third Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honor after anchoring a Leopards’ backline that registered a 2-0 shutout over Boston University. Freshman Raffi Fragomeni claimed Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week after making two saves in the shutout win over the Terriers.

American junior goalkeeper Bryn Underwood, Bucknell junior forward Rachel Apa, Holy Cross junior forward Allie McDonough and junior goalkeeper Brooke Ross, Lafayette sophomore midfielder Lineke Spaans and Lehigh senior defender Sydney White all received honorable mentions for their performances last week.

PATRIOT LEAGUERS AMONG NCAA LEADERS

*Bucknell senior forward Mackenzie Kile is fourth in NCAA DI with 0.83 assists per game. Her 10 assists lead the Patriot League.
*Bison sophomore forward Lily Neilson is 14th in the nation averaging 0.83 goals per game.
*Holy Cross junior midfielder/defender Haley Davis is third in NCAA DI with six defensive saves. Colgate junior defender Rachel Alderfer and Lafayette’s Hefting are tied for sixth with four defensive saves apiece.
*American junior goalkeeper Bryn Underwood is fourth in the nation with a 0.828 save percentage and 12th in NCAA DI with 6.00 saves per game.
*Lehigh senior midfielder Sarah Bonthuis’s 1.77 points per game is 23rd in the nation.

*Turina Dellamaggiore scored goals in the second and fourth quarters to help American to a 3-1 comeback victory over Lehigh.
*The sophomore midfielder found the back of the cage at the 26:11 mark in the second quarter to put the Eagles in front 2-1.
*She provided insurance with a goal at the 46:37 mark of the fourth quarter to help American move into third place in the League standings.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Simone Hefting, Lafayette, Sr., Defender, Den Bosch, Netherlands/Stedelijk Gymnasium Den Bosch
*Hefting anchored a Leopards’ defensive unit that held Boston University to just two shots on goal in a 2-0 shutout victory over the Terriers, who were previously unbeaten in League play.
*The Leopards did not allow a Terriers’ shot on goal until the third quarter. Lafayette allowed just one more shot on goal in the fourth quarter.
*She also helped the Leopards limit Yale to eight shots on goal in a 1-0 loss on Sunday.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Raffi Fragomeni, Lafayette, Fr., Goalkeeper, Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes

*Fragomeni made nine saves and allowed one goal in two games, including a 2-0 shutout victory against Boston University.
*The freshman goalkeeper made one save in the third and fourth quarters to preserve the Leopards’ shutout victory against the Terriers, handing them their first League loss of the season.
*She also made seven saves and allowed one goal in a 1-0 loss against Yale on Sunday.

PATRIOT LEAGUE FIELD HOCKEY ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Frederiek Thierry, American, Fr., Forward/Midfielder, Huizen, Netherlands/Laar & Berg

*Thierry recorded an assist and a defensive save to help American to a 3-1 victory over Lehigh on Friday.
*She made a defensive save late in the second quarter to help the Eagles hold a one-goal lead going into halftime.
*The freshman assisted American’s third goal of the game in the fourth quarter to help preserve their third League win.

*McDonough scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to lead the Crusaders to a 1-0 victory over LIU on Sunday.

*Ross made 11 saves and allowed one goal to help Holy Cross go 2-0 last week with wins over Colgate and LIU.
*She made two saves and allowed one goal in the Crusaders’ 2-1 victory against Colgate on Saturday.
*The junior goalkeeper made nine saves in a 1-0 double-overtime shutout victory against LIU on Sunday.

*Spaans scored one goal and had one assist in Lafayette’s 2-0 victory over Boston University. The reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Year is tied for the team lead with 12 points.

*White and the Mountain Hawks’ defense did not allow a penalty corner in a 3-1 loss at American before helping hold Longwood scoreless in the second half in a 2-1 victory.
