Lexi Thompson puts an end to her career dry spell

Thompson has a long history of success. The pro golfer was the youngest golfer ever to play in the U.S. Women’s Open. She was just 12 when she achieved the aforementioned title.

Recently, the pro golfer broke a major career dry spell where she failed to win for almost 3 years. Thompson won the LET’s Aramco Team Series event on Saturday at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in The Bronx with a three-under-par 69. The World No. 8 won by three shots over Brooke Henderson (68) and Madelene Sagstrom (69) after taking a two-stroke lead with a 65 on Friday.

Lexi said, “I’ve been working extremely hard on my game. I felt like it was a matter of time, but I just wanted to play golf and put myself in contention in the final rounds and learn from the losses that I had and what I needed to work on, and I brought that into today.”

She continued, “I wanted to play fearless golf, not play away from pins by any means, and commit to my shots. I hit some really good ones and I hit some iffy ones but with this wind, you have to take the bad ones as best you can.”

She shared her outputs in a recent interview. Lexi detailed her fearless play of golf this time around. Probably, good things are on way for Thompson after breaking this long curse.

Golf Saudi sponsors many LET players like Chiara Noja, Anna Nordqvist, Anne Van Dam, and Olivia Cowan. On the other hand, Aramco, a Saudi Oil company, sponsors six events on the Ladies European Tour. As the company has been at the forefront of support for women’s golf for a long time, Thompson believes the company is good for the game.
