It was a month full of consistent play for the Cowgirls competing on the LPGA Tour as the season dwindles down to its winter conclusion. Three Oklahoma State alums combined to play in four tournaments throughout October, making it past the cut and into the weekend in each event.

Linnea Johansson opened the month with a strong showing at the Ascendant LPGA at Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas. There, she signed off on a 2-under 282, good enough for a T34 finish.

The very next weekend, Johansson went even lower at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship, firing rounds of 68-74-72-70 to end the tournament at 4-under. She finished the weekend in a tie for 32nd, her best finish since July.

Johansson has now made the cut in four consecutive tournaments, and six of her last eight, as she continues to build her professional resume after joining the tour back in 2020.

Caroline Masson also played into the weekend at the Ascendant LPGA, her only tournament of the month, winding up at T49 after shooting a 286.

Masson has had another successful year on tour, placed 74th and 54th in the Rolex Rankings and CME Globe Cup Rankings, respectively.

Pernilla Lindberg joined Johansson in California at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship, recording a 3-under weekend on her way to a tie for 46th. Her 285 was just one shot off of her best 72-hole score of the season.

Across the pond, a pair of Cowgirls both saw recent success on the Ladies European Tour.

Caroline Hedwall and Linda Wessberg both competed at the Hero Women’s Indian Open at DLF Golf and Country Club in Delhi, India.

Hedwall, a former individual National Champion at Oklahoma State in 2010, was the event’s runner-up, carding rounds of 68-71-68-71 to finish 10-under and three strokes behind the tournament champion.

She has now recorded top-10 finishes in four of her last six tournaments played on the LET, with the most recent result being the highest of her 2022 campaign.

Wessberg landed in 12th at the Hero Women’s Indian Open after shooting a 1-under 287, her highest finish of the season.

All five Cowgirls will hit the course once again on November 10th, with Johansson, Masson, and Lindberg traveling to Florida to play at the Pelican Women’s Championship, while Hedwall and Wessberg are set to continue their season on the LET.
