Aljamain Sterling has been training with Leon Edwards in preparation for his title fight at UFC 280.
This Saturday night at UFC 280, Aljamain Sterling will defend his UFC bantamweight championship for the second time when he goes head to head with former king of the mountain TJ Dillashaw.
Sterling hasn’t been shy when letting the world know what he thinks about his rival and in equal measure, he’s also been getting into the best shape of his career – which makes sense, given that he’s going up against one of the best 135-pounders of all time.
‘Funk Master’ is slowly but surely building himself up as one of the most formidable champions in the promotion but due to how his two-fight series with Petr Yan went, he still has a long way to go before winning over some of his critics.

Either way, though, the 33-year-old will forever be known as the first fighter of Jamaican descent to hold UFC gold, a club that was exclusive to him until earlier this summer.
That’s because at UFC 278, Leon Edwards, who was born in the Caribbean nation, knocked Kamaru Usman out to become the new face of the welterweight division.
As Sterling gears up for his Dillashaw showdown, he’s doing everything he can to be at 100% on fight night.
Part of that process includes linking up with his fellow Jamaican champion Leon Edwards in Dubai.

Leon’s big moment
After beating Kamaru Usman, who many viewed as the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world, Leon Edwards went on a victory tour as his star power shot through the roof overnight.
‘Rocky’ was able to cap off his unlikely rise to the top in the most spectacular way imaginable and now, everyone is watching and waiting for an announcement regarding when he’s going to get back into the Octagon.

The short answer is that nobody actually knows when that moment is going to come in an official sense, but all signs are currently pointing towards a March date in England for these two rivals to run it back for the third time.
Who knows, perhaps if Sterling can retain the belt in Abu Dhabi, he’ll also go out of his way to try and feature on the hypothetical card.
