cj cup

The biggest names in the game of golf have produced in the biggest event of the young 2022-23 PGA Tour season through three rounds. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy finds himself alone at the top of the leaderboard at 13 under heading into the final round of the 2022 CJ Cup as the Northern Irishman is primed to successfully defend his title from a year ago.

Accomplishing the same feat this past summer at the Canadian Open, this potential victory will not only come with a trophy but also an additional accolade in the form of a world No. 1 ranking. In order to complete his summit to the top of the world of golf, McIlroy will have to be flawless as a bevy of pursuers lurk in the shadows at Congaree.

World No. 5 Jon Rahm headlines those hoping to chase down McIlroy. The Spaniard sits only one stroke off the pace of his Ryder Cup teammate through 54 holes and is joined by Kurt Kitayama and K.H. Lee at 12 under. Aaron Wise and Taylor Moore round out the top five at 10 under while Tom Kim is just one stroke back of them as the 20-year-old from South Korea searches for his third PGA Tour title in the span of six tournaments.
